C-16 Hallway 9:32 AM
Chase walked down the hallway, he didn't know why, but he hated this hallway, it was just always here, and any time he had to go down it, he tried to get through it as fast as he possibly could.
But this time he forced himself to walk through slowly, making sure to drag out each step, no matter how much he didn't want to... And he really didn't want to.
He was just going to do this to prove to himself that there was nothing going on, that's it.
Unsteadily he walked down the hallway, the pit in his stomach growing with each step, the feeling like he shouldn't be here, like something bad was going to happen, growing bigger and bigger the further he went, until he reached the thing that made him so nervous.
There was one door in the middle of the hallway labeled B-3, and as he stood in front of it, everything was amplified a thousand times, it felt like his body, mind, and memories were all screaming at him not to go through.
Cautiously, he reached for the handle and snapped it off like it was nothing.
"Crap!" Chase exclaimed. That was not what he meant to do, must be the adrenaline.
Sometimes he forgot how strong he really was
He pushed the door open, to reveal a much smaller hallway, no longer than his bed, leading to an elevator at the end.
"Oh man" Chase moaned, this was just getting worse and worse by the second.
He pressed the button to summon the elevator, but nothing happened. He pressed it again, but still, nothing happened.
"Ok…" He sighed, "looks like I'm gonna have to do this the hard way."

In an instant Chase ripped the doors of the shaft open, flinging them behind him, and jumped, feeling the freezing underground air hit his face as he went. He fell about three stories, righting himself just before he hit the bottom of the shaft. He didn't know exactly how he knew when he was going to land, but he did.
Slowly he looked up, he was standing at the beginning of a long and dark hallway. Normally the darkness doesn't faze Chase, considering he can see just fine in it, but there was something different about this hallway. It sent a chill down his spine.
On the right, there was a door about twenty feet away, and then to the left, thirty or so feet away from that was another door.
For about three seconds, an eternity to him, Chase simply stood there unsure about what to do, he knew that there was something bad at the end of the hallway, but he wasn't so sure he wanted to know what it was.
But his thoughts were suddenly cut short, when, from the first door, he heard something that stopped his heart dead in its tracks.
--------------------------------------
"Ugh!" John shouted as Tech drove his fist into the already bruised area of his stomach. There was blood coming from his mouth, and almost everywhere else for that matter. He couldn't take much more of this.
"I'm sorry!" John spat "What more do you want from me!?"
Tech sighed, "John, I truly am sorry" He grunted as he landed another punch "But you must know that if I let you leave here, in other words, if I were to tolerate this kind of behavior once, I'd lose control of everything"
"Look, I'm sorry" John heaved,"I won't do it again!"
Tech stopped and walked over to the mantel, the fire blazing on "No, you won't" He said with his back turned.
John's eyes widened, and then at that moment, Tech turned around holding a small techno looking gun, aimed it at his heart, and fired.
"UGH!"
John's body hit the floor, now cold and lifeless
But despite of this, Tech's face showed no emotion as the fire flared up behind him, illuminating the room.
"Get someone to clean up this mess" Tech commanded the robots as he turned to leave, then froze.
Chase was standing in the doorway
For a moment time stood still as each considered the other, then Tech saw his son's face harden, and before he could even yell out to stop him, the room was filled with a blast of wind, and he was gone.
--------------------------------------
Chase ran down the hallway at "full speed" ignoring that stupid feeling of dread, and stopping right in front of the other door, his toe and heel claws digging into the ground to stop himself. His mind was screaming at him, but now he realized that it wasn't telling him to stop, it was telling him to go. And he listened... Because he had just seen his father kill someone.
His entire body vibrated with anger as he turned his fingers into blades.
BOOM!!!
Chase swiped at the lock, putting five clean gashes in the middle of it
BOOM!!!
Another swipe! Five more gashes!
Chase's eyes flickered red, and with one last swipe, he cut the lock in half, and kicked open the door with a deafening sonic boom!!
What he saw made his jaw drop.
He stood in a room full of very mean looking humanoid robots, but they were nothing compared to what stood in the middle of the room. There, stood a giant, terrible looking robot, it looked like a monster, but it was mechanical. And its label read K-X
In front of it was a screen with videos ready to play, so Chase did, and as he watched the tests conducted with the robot, the creature, one thing became clear.
"It's a war robot,"
That was it, those words broke the barrier, and suddenly his memories exploded in his brain, each one screaming at him louder than they ever had, and he could hear them.
"ARGH!!"
Chase fell to his knees, clutching his now pounding head!
Almost everything that happened just now, all of it had happened in one-way shape or form before, it had all happened before, and each time, Tech had injected him with something that had made him forget. But it didn't work, because now he could remember.
Chase looked up at the room, his entire body vibrating with anger, he needed to get out of there, NOW!
Too late, a small device clamped onto his arm, and before he could even react (which is saying something) it shot three cables to the ground, trapping him, and the world erupted with light.
"AAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!"
Chase screamed, it felt like his entire body was being barbecued, as it was filled with electricity from the small device. Through the pain he looked up, knowing who would be standing over him.
"I guess I can't say that I'm doing this for your own good huh?" Tech said, through an emotionless face, one much different than the one Chase had come to know.
Chase looked at his father through gritted teeth. "You did kill them," He growled
"You think?" Tech smiled,
"WHY!?" Chase shot back
"They, of all people, started getting too close to what I was really doing. Too close to you."
Then Tech turned away and started to fidget with something that gave a Chase a bad feeling
"You lied!" Chase yelled "How could you lie to me! I thought we were supposed to be making the world a better place!!"
"It's a bit complicated" Tech sighed, "And I am sorry, but you have more pressing Concerns"
All of a sudden Tech turned around, holding a dart gun to Chase's chest, and froze.
Do you remember what I said earlier? About how the world seems to slow down when ones life is in danger? Well, being a speedster, Chase can do that on command, and he was doing it right now.
The world seemed to lose all of its life as it came to a complete stop, giving Chase time to think.
"It was going to happen again! If that dart hit him, he would forget everything Chase's mind went into overdrive as he struggled to think how to get out of his restraints. But the cables that held him down were too strong for him to break in his weakened state...
But no. He was NOT going to go through this a fifth time. Once more he forced himself to think of any way out of this stupid thing on his ar-
He stopped, "slowly" Chase looked down at his arm. He knew how to get out. But it wasn't going to be fun... But then again, he didn't have a healing factor for nothing, and he had felt much worse.
He raised his other arm and drew his blades
"AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
Suddenly there was a deafening sonic boom, and Chase was gone, leaving in his place only his severed arm, which lay in a pool of blood, still attached to the small device,
Tech stared wide eyed
"Oh, crap"
