Max opened his eyes through the pain of his… everything

He saw Isaac, he was standing in the middle of the room, talking on the phone, while Malak lay unconscious on the desk

“Hey!...” 

Max looked around, he didn’t quite know where he was, but he was pretty sure he had just heard one of those loud whispers, the kind that isn’t really a whisper but is said in a whispery voice

Wait, was he in Malak’s office? How did he get here?

“Hey, Kid!”

He snapped his head to his right, he seemed to be against the wall, a couple of feet away from the door, 

“Come on!”

That’s who was whispering to him, it was a girl, (With cat ears?) poking her head through the crack open door

She seemed really worried and was frantically waving at him to get up and come on

“Please! Just come on!!” She said as quietly as she could

Why was he in Malak’s office? And why was Isaac…

OH MAN!

Max turned his head quickly toward Isaac, just as he turned his own head, and looked directly at him

In a split second move, Max lifted off the floor by a couple inches, and shot out the door, grabbing the girl and flying down through the hallway just as another knife impaled the dent in the wall where Max had been

He carried her down the hallway as fast as he could, while his heart tried to escape from his chest

“Watch out!!” The girl screamed

As they rounded a corner they flew straight into one of the guards, knocking him to the ground as they all toppled over, hitting the floor with a thud

“What the heck do you kids think your-” The man started, towering above them, but Max looked up in panic, and thrust his hand forward, snapping the man’s head back, 

He hit the ground with a sickening sound

“Oh, Crap!” Max exclaimed scrambling to his feet, he checked the man’s pulse, and, thank goodness, he had one

Max breathed a sigh of relief, then turned back to the girl who saved him, the girl he now realized as the secretary

“Thank you so much” He gasped extending his hand to help her up, something the gladly excepted

“My names Max”

“Nikki” She replied

Suddenly as if on cue, the walls exploded in on themselves, and three D-1’s came walking into the hallway

The girl screamed, and Max immediately grabbed her again, and flew down the halls toward the closest window,

Crash!!

Max shattered the window just before he flew through it

“ARE YOU CRAZY!!!” Nikki yelled! 

But Max paid no attention, instead, he flew straight up, as fast as he could, one thing catching his attention

Everything was burning, 

He could hear the sound of shooting drowning out the screaming

He immediately knew

 

Tech

Heart pounding he landed on the fifth level, away from the castle

“Tech is invading the city!”

“Oh my gosh! My mom is over there!” Nikki yelled pointing downwards toward an area on the third level that was currently on fire

The D-1s where everywhere

Without warning she leaped over the edge of the balcony, gracefully parkouring off of protruding structures, to get down to the next level

But Max paid no attention

“I was too late” He gasped, it felt like his stomach was being tied into a knot, and for a couple of moments, all he could do was stand there

But suddenly, he heard a BOOM!! In the distance, and he was hit with a gust of wind from behind as Slash came to a stop

He turned around to face Chase, but before he could say anything, Chase cut him off

“I have a way to fix this, but you have to trust me”
