“Heads up!”

Chase was forced awake as four sharp objects slashed across his face from right to left,

“Gah!” He coughed, frantically looking around the dark space he was confined to, his eyes adjusting as blood seeped from his cuts

The moment they did, he saw him

Isaac

“Good morning!” Isaac smiled “I thought you would never wake up”

Chase shook his head, trying to shake off the throbbing that was going on inside of it

“What did you give me?” He moaned

“Just something that Tech and I have been working on” Isaac shrugged “Painful isn’t it”

Chase ignored the question, not wanting to give him the satisfaction

“When do I get to meet this ‘King’ that I’ve heard so much about," Chase asked "Obviously you’ve tricked him into trusting you”

Isaac raised an eyebrow and glanced back at the two other guards that had escorted him down here.

“Oh I doubt you’re gonna get to see him at all,” Isaac said turning back to Chase “Your friend on the other hand-”

“What’s the end game here Isaac?” Chase interrupted through his weak breathing

Isaac chuckled “Теперь просто не ожидайте меня, чтобы начать monologing о моем злой план прямо здесь и сейчас. Что бы уничтожить весело сюрприз”

Chase’s eyes widened

“Oh,” He smiled, very satisfied with himself “Не думаю, что я был достаточно умен, чтобы знать другого языка, а вам?” 

He laughed, then tapped his head “Я был укреплен, помните? Это включает в себя мой мозг”

Chase smirked “You’ll still never be as smart as me” He mocked, trying to get some kind of rise out of Isaac, yeah it was a bit childish, but Chase had not had a good day

But Isaac was unfazed

Chase growled

“What is he planning Isaac?” He asked icily

Isaac chuckled again, a stupid arrogant chuckle “Ну вы знаете клише злодей вещи. Большой, over--top планы, много ненужных уничтожения, маниакально смеясь. Обычные”

Chase glared at Isaac

“Tell me what he’s planning!” He snapped

But Isaac only rolled his eyes and stood up, walking out of his cell, and into the dark, damp dungeon hallway

“Lock it” He ordered the man with him, and grab that one

Isaac pointed the cell across from Chase’s, where Max was lying unconscious

“King Malak has ordered to see him personally”

The guards complied and dragged Max from his cage

“Увидимся позже герой!” Isaac called to Chase one last time, and with that, they disappeared down the hallway, and up the dark stairs

As soon as they were gone, Chase allowed himself to hang his head

This was all his fault, and he had to fix it, no matter what 

But as he thought those words, he felt the darkness move around him
