“Agh!” Max yelled as the area in front of him exploded

He flew backward as hard as he could, but constantly staying in the air was starting to tire him out

He looked at the monster, it really did look like one, some mechanical octopus creature, with metal tentacles to carry it, and...

Teeth

It was a mechanical Kraken

But no way! He was not going to die today!

Max banked a hard left and flew as quickly as he could to the other side of it

And the monster roared

Spinning around to face Max, 

Mistake Thought Max

He put his hands together, giving everything he had into this one, last blast, of gravikinesis, and thrust them forward at the robot

…Nothing

The color drained from Max’s face as he fell to the ground

The Kraken almost seemed to smile, and then it lifted up its two tentacles, charged up its lasers and-

                                                                          --------------------------------------

“WWWWWOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

Chase shot across the U.S., faster than he ever had before!

This felt so great!!!

His energy count was doubling and tripling as he ran, he felt so powerful!

And he absolutely loved it

He spotted Max, he saw what was about to happen, and he put in one last burst of speed

BOOOOOMM!!!!

The Kraken Bot suddenly rocketed backward, flying over the Canyon edge

And Chase landed on the ground in front of Isaac

His entire body was emitting vibrating, emitting a red energy, his suit was melted onto his skin, and he was laughing, he was laughing like Max had never seen him, he was laughing like Isaac did

He didn’t even know why what just happened was so funny, IT JUST WAS!!!!!

EVERYTHING FINALLY MADE SENSE!!!!

He tore off his mask, tossed it aside and threw his hands up into the air

The fifty D-1’s all turned their heads toward Chase, and so did Isaac

“Hey everybody! Miss me!?!” He laughed,

Blood was coming from his eyes, like tears of a forgotten self, but still, he smiled
Every Bot aimed thie-

BOOOMM!!!

“Argh!” Max winced as he was thrown back by the sheer force of it

He opened his eyes, but he could only hear ringing, and there Chase stood, doubled over laughing, laughing and laughing and bleeding

He didn’t even seem to have moved, but every D-1 was up in flames

“Hey, Hero!”

Chase turned his head, to see Isaac flying through the air, ready to impale him

And then there was a sickening CRACK!! As Isaac’s body was grabbed out of the air and slammed into the ground, Chase’s claws burning the flesh if his chest as they sunk deeper

“AAAAGHHH!!!-”

Chase punched Isaac’s head into the ground, holding back just enough to keep him alive

But the smile never left Chase’s face, the entire time he was laughing and laughing like there was something so funny about Isaac’s pain, and no one else could see it

BOOOMM!!!!

Chase landed one last strong jab, cracking Isaac’s skull

Then he wiped the blood from his eyes, the demented smile stuck on his face, and raised his arm, drawing his blade

“Wanna beg for your life?” Chase joked

Isaac looked at Chase, and Chase could see actual fear in his eyes,

“You don’t have the guts to kill, Chase, it isn’t who you are” He wheezed

Chase tilted his head and smiled once more

“You don’t count”

Before Isaac’s face could even drop, Chase ran his blade straight through Isaac's chest, impaling his heart, and killed him… Temporarily

He lifted the body up and tossed it with incredible force over the edge of the canyon 

“Well, now that that’s done I suppose-”

He heard a sudden ROAR!! From the canyon below, as the Kraken Bot climbed out

“Man! This thing just won’t quit!” Chase retorted

He ran towards it, narrowly avoiding every-

“OW!”

Chase scowled as the burn on his leg instantly healed up

Avoiding, almost every laser blasts that it shot

Watch out!

He jumped the side as one of the tentacles came crashing down, then another, then another

He dodged them all with ease, jumping and running up the last tentacle

He aimed for the eyes. Drawing his blade, he rushed up to it and

“Agh!” the metal arms lit up with electricity, rocketing Chase off as he recovered, then landed on his hands, pushing himself off the ground and upright again

But still, he smiled, wiping away the blood as it came from his eyes

“Well Ok then”

Not holding anything back this time, he drew his arm blades, and once again took off, this time almost at full speed, just as it fired its laser.

He headed for one of the tentacles, and as he passed, he extended his blade, got ready, and sliced the leg right off

Except he didn’t 

The leg didn’t break, and instead, Chase was sent tumbling toward the edge of the canyon. Thinking quickly he grabbed the other leg as he passed by, and used its momentum to swing himself back the other way

Digging his claws in to stop himself, he turned to face the the thing

Wow! It was extremely strong

Chase was about to go back for another attack when all of a sudden his stomach exploded

“RAAAAGHHH!!” He yelled, digging his claws into the ground. He fell to his knees as the energy he was producing went into overdrive

The Kraken stepped forward, its tentacle slamming the ground so hard Chase could feel it rumble, just as he felt the energy inside him increase tenfold! 

“Argh!!” He yelled

Kraken stepped back

“Chase what is going on?!” Max exclaimed landing beside him,

 
“Max!” Chase exclaimed, “Hey! Good to see you, I’m dying”

“What!!?” Max yelled “But I thought this whole energy thing was good! Like a power up”

Chase laughed at what he said

“This isn’t Dragon Ball, Max” Chase stated, “there is no, big Super Saiyan, Dark Sonic power up. This right here,”

He gestured to the energy that was coming off of him as his eyes bled

“This is a very bad thing” He smiled

Max looked at Chase, “Then why are you smiling”

Chase smiled bigger “Because it’s funny!!!”

Max stepped back

“What’s wrong with you!? You’re acting like Isaac! You’re supposed to be better than him, the hero!”

Chase rolled his eyes,

“Oh please,” Chase said, “It’s not so black and white”

He turned to The Kraken Bot, its cold eyes staring back into Chase’s red ones

Neither said anything out loud, but each knew what the other was thinking

Then the moment was over

“Welcome back” Kraken spoke

It was Tech’s voice

Chase grinned 

“Sorry I ever left”

Suddenly he clenched over as his liver exploded from his side

“OH RIGHT!” He grunted “Still dying”

He had to get rid of this energy

“Max!” He yelled glaring at him “I’m about to do something gross, and as soon as I do, I need you to use your powers, fly away, and yank me back as hard, and as fast as you can!”

Max looked shocked

“But, what are you-”

“Just know!” Chase interrupted “No matter what it looks like, I will be fine (Probably) Get me somewhere safe, and wait it out!”

“What are you even-” Max started

“Thanks!” Chase exclaimed shoving Max away

With a growl of annoyance he took off into the sky about one-hundred feet, he had no idea what Chase was about to do, but he knew he wasn’t going to like it

Chase closed his eyes, he concentrated

And he didn’t know how he did it, or how he even knew how to do it, but he did it. As he concentrated, he felt all the energy he was producing condensing into one area, the one area he was willing it to go…  His heart

He looked up at Max, making sure he was watching

Now here comes the fun part

He looked at the Kraken

“Your move,” He said under his breath 

He plunged his hand into his chest, breaking his rib cage into a million pieces, wrapping it around his heart whilst ignoring the pain, and in one swift, very bloody, motion, he pulled outward, flinging his still beating heart fifty feet away from him, feeling the snaps as the vessels were severed

And in the moment before he died, he heard Max scream, he felt his body start to lift off the ground, he saw his heart hit said ground, and finally, he saw the world erupt
