New York 5:38 AM

Slowly he calmed down. He looked around the room, it was still dark outside, probably about fiveish.

Somberly he walked into the living room, which was much more lit up than his room, due to the lights of New York. He walked over and sat on the couch with his head in his hands.

It had been about a week and a half since the explosion in Times Square. So things of course hadn’t calmed down, and Chase was sure that the sonic boom he just created would not help anyone.

“Actually, you’d probably better get out of here” Shadow pointed out

Chase looked up at him “yeah I guess your right” he acknowledged as he started to hear people getting up and panicking in the other rooms. Quickly he put on his suit, grabbed his backpack and reentered his bedroom, the windows of which were completely shattered letting in the cool New York night air. Quietly he stepped over to the window, and jumped. Using the other buildings as a way to slow his fall, he made it to the ground at a safe speed. And as soon as his feet touched the concrete he blasted off running across the Atlantic Ocean. He had no set destination, he just needed to clear his head.

As previously stated, it had been about a week since Tech boosted the frequency the first time, but since then, he has done it six more times, they weren’t quite as powerful though. Progress on finding Tech was slow, really slow, in fact, it seemed like Tech had just disappeared off the face of the earth! He was NOWHERE to be found! And Chase was starting to get ticked off.

BOOM!!!

Chase put on an extra burst of speed just for the heck of it, feeling the soles of his shoes constantly touch down and lift up off of the cold surface of the ocean. Like he said, tracking Tech through the codes he sends up to the satellites had proven to be a frustrating endeavor. When Tech sends the code, there is only a split second of time, during the very beginning of the sending, that it is possible to trace the code to its source, that’s why Tech had created the “diversion” in Times Square, so that Chase couldn’t track him. And each time since Tech has always managed to find some way to pull Chase away, there is always something going on, something that Slash has to stop. He kept making him choose.

“Heroes have to make choices” Chase growled, that’s what Tech had said, and he was dead set on following through on that.

So in the sea mist as he ran, clearing his head, and trying to focus on something other than Tech, feeling the vibration of his cells as he got faster and faster with each step! But as he ran, he was only finding it more and more difficult to think of anything else other than stopping Tech.

Land! Dang was he this close to Europe already? Quickly he changed his direction slightly and headed to Hong Kong. “That stupid Frequency!” Chase thought, because as far as he could tell, it didn’t do anything! There was absolutely no point to it, it was just there sitting in the background of every sound system, unnoticed by anyone, going up and down! Annoying the heck out of him!

And also- One sec.
