Isaac walked through the Greenland Base, it was much more lit than it was when he left.

 

Tech was sitting in the living room area with his laptop. His eyes seemed to light up when he saw Isaac… Or more accurately the information in his backpack.

 

“Here you go,” Isaac said plopping the pack full of books onto the coffee table

 

“Perfect!” Tech exclaimed rummaging through them, before settling on one about “legends of the sea”

 

“What have you found on your end?” Isaac asked collapsing himself onto the chair adjacent to where Tech sat

 

Tech looked toward Isaac, “Well…” He began “I started to think, that if such individuals did exist in higher quantity, then judging by the outburst of power that we witnessed by our friend, everybody would know about them. The way he reacted with the Z-12 was much too destructive to be happening on a regular basis without everybody finding out, and plus the scan we did using the frequency only showed two more individuals like him in the world…”

 

Tech paused for dramatic effect, he just couldn’t help it.

 

“But?” Isaac smiled

 

“Suddenly I had an idea,” Tech said “What if those individuals such as our friend Max, are the exception, and not the norm, what if by some freak mutation those individuals had that special something in their DNA repressed, but normally such individuals have much easier access to their abilities”

 

“Right” Isaac answered ever more intrigued

 

“So I had you look into the past to see how long they could’ve existed, and I looked into the present to see if they still do” Tech explained

 

“And what did you find?” 

 

Tech chuckled to himself for a second “Not only is there substantial proof, but there might be much more than I previously thought. There might be entire colonies of them.”

 

“So where are they then?”

 

“Now that’s where I’m having minimal success, though I’ve done the obvious scans, it stands to reason that they’ve been hiding for a long time”

 

“You didn’t find anything” Isaac chuckled

 

“Well not entirely…” Tech said looking Isaac right in the eyes “There is one lead you can follow up”
